Yesterday, for the fourth or fifth time in my life, I received Amma's Darshan together with my wife and two children. We also had a couple of friends and their children come with us to experience Amma's Darshan for the first time.
For those who don't know, a Darshan is a hug — a simple act of human kindness from one being to another. But when it comes to Amma, She performs that act of kindness for a few thousand people in a day. And of course, She asks nothing in return. Come as you are, and She will give you love!
She doesn’t go to the bathroom, doesn’t rest, or take any breaks for food or drinks until everyone who came that day leaves with a hug. Let that sink in — it can take 12 to 15 hours of non-stop giving.
The volunteer staff surrounding the event is exceptional. Everyone is patient, compassionate, and very helpful. So thanks to them for making this event go smoothly for everybody.
If you ever get a chance to meet Amma, don’t hesitate — you will not regret it, and it might change your life. It sure changed mine.
She is Love, She is Compassion, She is light
